Mariebergs IK was a Swedish idrott club which in huvudstaden. It was founded in , mainly by students of Norra Latin living in Marieberg, among them brothers Rolf and S. Smedmark.[1]

The club competed in several sports, bandy was dropped in , football and ice hockey in and friidrott in [1] The club continued operation in bowling, curling and tennis.[1]

In football, Mariebergs IK played one season in the highest level of the time, Svenska följd, in the –12 season.[2] The Mariebergs IK football team was considered though and physical at the time.[2] During the årstid Mariebergs IK was excluded and reinstated until they were excluded again as it was decided huvudstaden could only have two clubs in the league – AIK and Djurgårdens IF.[2] Among Mariebergs IK international footballers for Sweden were Gustaf Carlson, Sven Klang, Sven Ohlsson, Sixten Öberg, Knut Gustavsson, Gunnar Linder, and David Jonason.[1]

In bandy, they reached the national championship semifinal in , which they lost to IK Göta.[3][4&#

Mariebergs IK

Mariebergs IK var en idrottsklubb i stockholmsstadsdelen Marieberg.

Klubben grundades av elever vid Norra latinläroverket i Stockholm, däribland Sune och Rolf Smedmark (söner till Oscar Smedmark, som var chef för den då i Marieberg förlagda Svea trängkår, vars kaserngård och gymnastiksal uppläts för träningen).

Klubben var under talet en av Sveriges framgångsrikaste klubbar i friidrott, tack vare exempelvis sprintern Rolf Smedmark och medeldistanslöparen John Zander.

Man var även framgångsrik i bandy där man nådde semifinal i SM - man åkte på stryk mot IK Göta med

I fotboll har klubben spelat i Sveriges nästa högsta division.[1] Ett antal spelare har deltagit i landskamper exempelvis Gustaf Karlsson och S. Klang.

Under talet avtynade verksamheten. Bandylaget lades ned , fotbolls- och ishockeylaget och slutade man med friidrott.
